The call for TALFF 2026 programme is open
The Tallinn Feminist Forum (TALFF) will take place as a summer camp from 20–23 August near Tallinn, at the Copper Leg Art Residency. Send us your idea!
Do you, your group, or your organisation have an idea you would like to contribute to the programme? Your contribution may take the form of a workshop, a guided discussion, wellbeing activity, a dialogue, a monologue, or another creative format. Proposed ideas may—but do not have to—engage with the following themes: the future, feminism as supporting hand, mental health, alternatives to current society. Activities should be grounded in a feminist perspective, an intersectional approach is also important.
Estonian children’s song goes: “Let’s build a house, let’s build a house – a lovely little feminist house”. Or so we dream that it goes. We are building a new castle, a one that breathes. A castle that inflates when a space for others is needed and shrinks when there is a wish for more safety. Our castle has walls and windows, but our foundation is roots and the roof consists of tree branches. We are building a monster, but a rather charming one.
Submit your idea HERE by 21 May 2026 at 23:59. We will respond to all applicants by early June.
We offer pay for your work (and the option to donate your fee to another less well-off (freelance) facilitator), covering accommodation, food and transport costs, support in developing your idea, a small production and materials budget (depending on the proposal), and, if needed, childcare or caregiving support during your input.
TALFF is a feminist gathering organized by Feministeerium since 2019. More information at our page.
We are looking for:
- Workshops. Includes movement-based workshops and thinking-talking workshops. Collective practices and processes of developing these practices are welcomed too.
- Guided discussions. Formats that engage participants around a specific topic. Discussions may take place indoors, outdoors (or during a sauna session!).
- Dialogues. Guided one-to-one or group walks, conversations, and other similar formats. With one-to-one formats, be prepared to facilitate the session multiple times.
- Monologues. Lectures, a speech or a pep-talk. For those who are not comfortable or capable at the moment to facilitate more participatory formats.
- Wellbeing. Our bodies need care too – from hairdressing to massage you name it!
- Other creative outputs that participants can drop in or out at any time or are better suited to the evening programme (as performances, concerts, or social formats).
Formats engaging with the Copper Leg Art Residency environment are especially welcome. Note that TALFF takes place in an older school building, which technical capacities are limited — specify your technical needs in the Google form.
What we offer to each facilitator:
- A fee of on a sliding scale of 150-300€ per chosen proposal (via a service contract), with the option to donate it to another less well-off freelance participant
- Support in developing your idea during two meetings
- A small production and materials budget depending on the proposal
- Covering accommodation, food and transport costs
- Childcare or caregiving support if needed
What we expect from each facilitator:
- Willingness to meet with the creative manager Margaret Tilk in late June and early August to develop your idea
- Respect for the Copper Leg environment (for example, a family lives in part of the building and values quiet at night) and care for the surrounding natural environment is expected)
- Sharing information that TALFF is happening in your circles
